Understanding the deductions
SHIF (Social Health Insurance Fund)
Replaced NHIF. It is now a flat 2.75% of your gross salary with no upper cap. It is fully tax-deductible.
Housing Levy
A mandatory 1.5% contribution for the Affordable Housing project. As of 2026, it is also a tax-deductible expense.
NSSF (Year 4 Rates)
The calculator estimates employee NSSF using Tier I and Tier II pension bands, capped at the 2026 upper earnings limit.
